Key West Sword fishing trip 2/14/17

After a morning maintenance on the Far Out, I decided to call my brother and a couple of friends to go do a couple Swordfish drops in the afternoon. It was a glass calm day and I’ve had a lot of luck on really calm days so i figured we would catch one. We didn’t get out to the spot until about 2:00pm. We had no success on the first drop with lasted for about an hour. About 20 minutes into the second drift the rod bounced and I knew the fish was on. We fought the fish for about 20 minutes and got the gaffs in her. She was 105 pounder. Not a huge one but we were more then happy. I have a couple of Swordfish trips this week and I’m really looking forward to it. Here are some pics Enjoy.
